Running
I got news the other day that I have arthritis in my hips. The Medical provider I went to said the treatment would be cortisone shots every 4 months, no running and eventually surgery :( I said WHAT!!! I'm a natural health practitioner and there has to be something else I can do, no that's it. Needless to say I have an appointment with a different doctor, a more holistic doctor a DO Doctor of Osteopath. I have stopped running for the moment and am walking and contemplating what else I want to do for exercise that isn't so hard on my joints. I used to like to swim, especially in the ocean, I like to walk okay but it doesn't really do it for me. The machines at the gym are indoors and I live in too beautiful of a place to go indoors for exercise. Running was just so easy and it really made me feel good. I like my hips too much to wear them down so I am willing to let running go if that is what I need to do.
